Cell Notes
Here are the cell notes. Please download and save the file in your Science Folder. We will be adding to this on a daily basis so be sure to keep it up to date. After we have done the majority of the work in class I will post the answer key and my power point presentation in case you are absent or need to double check your notes. The vocabulary in this unit is tougher than most, so reviewing the vocabulary nightly is a good idea. 10-15 minutes of quizzing yourself or quizzing someone else will help you tremendously!!

Cell Theory Notes
Here is my presentation about the creation of the Cell Theory. It is not important to memorize individual dates, names, or accomplishments but rather to understand how scientists communicate and add to each others observations and discoveries. Know the person who created the name "cell" and the 3 postulates (or parts) of the Cell Theory and that will be enough.

Characteristics of Living Things Lab and Notes
Before we can talk about how organisms are arranged and what makes up their bodies, we need to be able to distinguish between living and non-living. While this may seem easy to some, scientists continue to debate what characteristics specifically make something living. This lab will introduce this debate to class. We will ultimately agree upon 8 characteristics that are mostly agreed upon in the field of biology. I will upload my notes presentation following the completion of the lab.
